Hi. I’m Casey, chaos fox-in-chief of EdgeFox Interactive.
This is our blog. It’ll probably be equal parts dev log, studio updates, and “what do you mean that broke at 3am for no reason.”

I wanted a space that isn’t Twitter, Discord, or some algorithm-deciding-if-I-exist platform to just… talk. About making games. About running a studio. About the messy in-between where both of those things collide with real life, burnout, and the occasional “why did I decide to do this again?” moment.

What You’ll Find Here

This blog is where we’ll drop:

• Dev logs – progress on current projects, breakdowns of systems, and “so this was supposed to be a tiny feature but now it’s an entire mechanic” posts.
• Design rambles – why we chose certain mechanics, themes, or vibes; the “feel” part of game design that doesn’t always fit into patch notes.
• Studio updates – what EdgeFox is up to behind the scenes, from partnerships and launches to “we changed this thing because Past Us made a choice and Present Us regrets it.”
• Real talk – mental health, money, time, and the reality of trying to build games and a studio without pretending everything is always polished and perfect.

Some posts will be short; some will be essay-length brain dumps. You’ve been warned.

Free vs Paid (AKA: How This Stays Running)

I’m keeping things simple here on the blog itself:

• Taste Test (Free) – You get access to public posts: updates, some dev logs, general studio news. Lurking is absolutely allowed.
• Cookie Crumbs ($1/mo) – Unlocks all the exclusive subscriber-only posts and the full archive. Behind-the-scenes dev logs, early peeks, more personal/chaotic entries that I don’t want fully public.
• Full Slice ($3/mo) – Same content as Cookie Crumbs, just extra support. You’re tossing a slightly bigger coin at the fox so we can keep making weird little worlds.

If you subscribe through the blog, you get access to all the exclusive writing.

If you subscribe through Patreon, you get the same exclusive posts plus extra perks on top (like Discord goodies, loyalty/merch stuff, and other fun supporter bonuses as we roll them out). So:

• Blog subs = content only
• Patreon subs = same content, extra shinies

Pick whichever is easier for you. I’m just glad you’re here.

What This Is Not

This isn’t going to be:

• A polished PR feed
• A carefully curated, brand-safe “everything is great :)” page
• A daily content hamster wheel

Some weeks there might be multiple posts. Some weeks there might be silence while we’re buried in builds, life, or both. I’d rather post when there’s something real to say than force filler.
